Tickford AU Alarm loom sleeve and lock cap set

Replace that long-lost protective cover and long-ago cracked loom sleeve for your Tickford AU alarm!

The alarm's printed circuit board is directly underneath the lock barrel, so keeping dirt and moisture out is important for the life of your alarm module.

These flexible parts are manufactured in a durable TPU (polyurethane) and precisely sized to provide a reliable seal with the alarm casing.

I'm now including a section of black PVC tubing which you can use in place of the top section of the part, to give a more OEM look. Simply give the top section a sharp pull and it will lift clear - you can then insert the PVC tube in it's place.

To fit the part, you will need to release each of the the six wires from the plug that goes into the alarm module, remove the old loom sleeve and feed them through the replacement prior to reinserting the wires back into the plug in the correct position (take a photo!).

Either way, remember to switch the alarm off with the alarm key before pulling back the harness sleeve and unplugging the wiring from the alarm!

You can use a sewing need or a 0.5mm (or thinner) by 1.2mm wide tool, inserted from the front of the plug on either side to release the tangs on each terminal before then sliding it out. You can find one in this kit.

The sewing needle will come in handy to lift the tangs back out before sliding the terminals back into the plug.
